By somewhat popular demand the chuggbrand website is now back up and running. It's been nearly 4 years since the last shirt was sold on the old site, and a lot has changed.

Some of us are married, some of us have kids, some are expecting, and for some not much has changed at all. Although the concept and the spirit of chuggy forever remains the same, in our effort to turn it into a business we may have lost our way.

When it all began we spent all of our time worrying about creating this
business"; we wanted fast shipments, cheap designs, high profit margins....we wanted everything to run flawlessly. The problem that we ran into was that entire mentality flew in the face of everything that we wanted chuggy to be about.
From the orignial website:

"Beginning with an ideal of effortlessness and a matching slogan of  “it’s good enough,” Chuggy launched its brief history on the backs of plain people, the regular Joe, so to speak

"Everyone believes in something.  The makers of Chuggy believe that they have what you need.  Or maybe not.  They believe that their own way is better.  It probably isn’t.  They believe attention will be given where attention is due.  Not likely.  All in all, it doesn’t really matter."

"Similar to a lick of cool jazz, Chuggy is finally ready to take hold of your senses and shake until you see clearly, until you realize the ultimate message, which is this....whatever Chuggy might mean to you, it is always, it is forever, just plain ... good enough?

My hope is that chuggybrand can move forward without the intentions of being profitable, but with the intention of spreading the the chuggy name across the chests of people just like what we described above.

What you will not get here are "cookie cutter" stamped out designs. There are no assembly lines, or printing presses. Each shirt is printed individually, and by hand. With that in mind, please realize the images on the site are "concepts"; your shirt will differ. There will be unique flaws in every shirt, if that bothers you PLEASE don't buy a shirt. There are several retail stores that can fill your needs.

Either you'll get it or you wont. I hope you do. whatever the case may be:

...it's good enough.

Love always,

~schilly
